Good care begins with knowing what an object is made from. Always follow the details on the individual product page when they differ from this general guide.

Jadeite and obsidian

Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry promptly. Avoid hard impacts, ultrasonic cleaners, strong chemicals, and sudden temperature changes.

Brass and bronze

Natural darkening can develop over time. Dust with a soft dry cloth. If you choose to polish, test a small area first because polishing can change an antique-style finish.

Pressed cinnabar-style material

Keep dry and away from solvents, perfume, and prolonged direct sunlight. Clean gently with a soft cloth. Do not sand, cut, or heat the material.

Incense objects

Use only on a stable, heat-resistant surface with good ventilation. Never leave burning incense unattended, and keep it away from children, pets, drafts, and flammable materials.
